Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrician with expertise in automation systems to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical systems and automation controls in a dynamic industrial environment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems, sensors, and industrial automation networks.

As an Electrician – Automation Specialist, you will ensure that all automated machinery, electrical systems, and controls are operating efficiently and safely while minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
Electrical System Installation and Maintenance:
Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, motors, circuits, and various automation components according to technical drawings and safety regulations.

Automation System Installation:
Set up, calibrate, and program PLCs, HMIs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and related automation control systems.

Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
Perform regular inspections, troubleshooting, and fault-finding on electrical systems, PLCs, sensors, and communication networks to identify and resolve malfunctions or failures.

Control Panel Wiring:
Assemble and wire control panels for automation systems, ensuring they meet electrical codes and engineering standards.

PLC Programming:
Develop, modify, and optimize PLC programs for process control and automation. Work closely with engineering teams to improve system performance.

Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct routine checks, preventive maintenance, and equipment calibrations to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure systems function correctly.

Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety standards and electrical codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA), ensuring that all work is completed in compliance with OSHA standards and local regulations.

Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of electrical installations, modifications, and maintenance activities. Update technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.

Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, production, and maintenance staff, to address electrical and automation issues in a timely manner.

Continuous Improvement:
Recommend improvements for electrical and automation systems, supporting ongoing efficiency and productivity initiatives within the facility.
