Job Description

We are seeking a organized and detail-oriented purchasing and logistics coordinator to manager and oversee the flow of materials, equipment and finished goods within the automation industry. The role involves coordinating transportation, managing inventory and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of components required from the client. You will be responsible for the activities for the district parts of the business. This would include services/installation teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain logistics, vendor management, and the specific needs of the automation industry.

Logistics Planning & Coordination:
– Coordinate the movement of materials, machinery, and automation components to ensure timely delivery to project sites, warehouses, or production facilities. Optimize transportation schedules to minimize delays and costs.
– Communicate forecasts and replenishment plans to supplier.
– Review open requirements, monitoring vendor performance and expediting where necessary.
– Ensure that problems relating to delivery, quality or pricing are promptly conveyed to the supplier and resolved in a timely manner.
– Work closely with the service coordinators, project administrators, service managers, and installation managers in quoting materials, parts, and equipment.
– Additional responsibilities as assigned
– Create, maintain, update, and manage purchase orders.
– Adheres to purchase order company policies & procedures.
– Proven sales and customer services skills.
– Experience working in a process management system and priority setting.
– Ability to work both individually and as a team with minimum supervision.
