Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to manage a team of electricians in an industrial, control and automation environment.

The Electrical Lead will be responsible for overseeing all electrical installations, maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on a vehicle production line. This role requires strong project management, leadership, and hands-on technical expertise to ensure the seamless operation of electrical systems and equipment. You will work closely with other departments to ensure that electrical operations are aligned with production goals, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:

Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical projects on the production line.
Ensure timely completion of projects, meeting quality, safety, and cost requirements.
Monitor and manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Prepare and present project updates to management and other stakeholders.
Personnel Management:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electricians to meet performance and safety goals.
Delegate tasks, manage workloads, and ensure adequate staffing for shifts.
Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous skill development.
Perform performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Technical Oversight:

Supervise installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical control systems, automation equipment, and machinery.
Ensure that all work complies with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Work with engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues on the production line.
Implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures to minimize downtime.
Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless operations.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
Provide technical guidance and support to other departments and assist in cross-functional projects.
Safety & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies.
Promote a culture of safety and ensure the team complies with safety training and standards.
Conduct regular safety inspections and address any non-compliance issues immediately.
Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Relevant technical certifications or trade qualifications are a plus.
Experience:

5+ years of experience in an industrial electrical role, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
Strong background in control and automation systems within a manufacturing or production environment, ideally in vehicle production.
Skills:

Proven project management and leadership abilities.
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, industrial automation, and control technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications:

Electrician’s License (preferred but not required).
Certifications in PLC programming, automation systems, or industrial controls are advantageous.
Working Conditions:

Willingness to work flexible hours, including possible evening or weekend shifts to meet project deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with heavy machinery and electrical equipment.
